Grimes

Claire Elise Boucher (/bu:'SeI/ boo-SHAY;[1] born March 17 in 1988), known professionally as Grimes, is an Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, recording producer, and singer. The early work of her is described as stretching to "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop. It has also included elements from electronic music, hip hop, as well as rock. She often uses science fiction and feminist themes within her lyrics. The singer has released five studio albums. The singer was born and raised in Vancouver (later relocated to Montreal), Grimes began making music on her own in the late 2000s, releasing two albums, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa which were released in 2010, on Arbutus Records. She subsequently became a member of 4AD and became a household name when she released her third studio album, Visions In 2012. Visions includes the singles "Genesis", and "Oblivion" in addition to being given an award called the Juno Award in Canada for Electronic Album of the year. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, debuted in the year 2015. A number of publications have rated it one of the greatest albums. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth album in the studio. Grimes has also been an actor and judge in Alter Ego's music contests, performed as a vocalist on the album Cyberpunk 2077 which was released 2020.
