Dina Meyer is a New York native who was born within Forest Hills Queens. She relocated from Queens to Dix Hills Long Island just after she completed her junior high. Dina Meyer is the sister of two brothers. Gregory is her brother who is older and Evan is her younger brother. Her first exposure to the world of entertainment came as she was modeling from ages nine to 16. The beginning of her acting career was in The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was studying Sanford Meisner's methods with Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who studied by this method, as well as Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. She got her first part in the soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210, which required her to move out to Los Angeles. The first film she appeared in was Johnny Mnemonic. She did all the stunts of the film and helped establish her as an athletic actress. The talent agent she worked with was also representing Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent she was able to score a recurring role on Friends.
