She was born in Santa Monica, California on the 26th of November 1986. She is the child of Vincenzo Barba, her father and Valerie Barba. Her family relocated from Point Pleasant New Jersey when she was just six years old. For her schooling, she attended Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. She then attended Catholic University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in architecture. At the age of four, she began to play the violin and earned the name Violin Girl. In recognition of her skills the violinist was referred to by the name of Violin Girl. She also worked as instrumental teacher to the children of the surrounding area. For the sixth season of American Idol, she sang Free in the year 1976, when she was nineteen. However she was eliminated after being ranked 16th in the competition. She performed a number of songs such as 'The Christmas Song,' 2009 and "Out for Blood" in 2010, to name a few. Additionally, she's appeared as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. Antonella Barba became famous as an American after she was a contestant in American Idol's 6th season. She also began acting on TV after she was eliminated from the show after she made it to the top 16. She played in some minor movies in addition to appearing on Fear Factor Season 2012 in the role of a contestant. According to Daily Mail reports on November 21st of 2019, she was sentenced nearly four years in prison for collaborating to sell Fentanyl. In July she pleaded guilty to having at least 400 grams of the drug and was planning to market the drug. The singer was however detained in Virginia at the end of October in 2018, when she attempted to transfer two pounds of fentanyl into a stashhouse.
